Adult Taekwondo for Beginners
Storm adult classes are built for adults who have never trained — and for adults who trained years ago and want to come back. The drills are scaled to your fitness level, and the coaching meets you exactly where you are.
Men and women, twenty-somethings through senior citizens — every adult is welcome on the mat. Different ages and different fitness levels train side by side, and Storm coaches make sure every student is appropriately challenged.
- No prior martial arts experience needed
- Drills scaled to your current fitness level
- Inclusive of all ages, body types and backgrounds
- Practical self-defense foundations woven into class

Fitness, Stress Relief & Confidence
Adult Taekwondo is a genuine alternative to boring gym routines. You're not just burning calories — you're learning a real skill while you train, which is why adults actually keep showing up.
Cardio & Conditioning
Drills, footwork, and pad work build endurance without the treadmill grind.
Strength & Power
Stance work, kicks, and forms develop functional strength and lean muscle.
Flexibility & Mobility
Progressive stretching and kicking improve range of motion week by week.
Stress Relief
A focused, structured hour where you leave work, screens, and worries at the door.
Self-Discipline & Focus
Habits built on the mat — showing up, paying attention, finishing — carry into the rest of your life.
Self-Defense Foundations
Practical, awareness-based self-defense as part of training — not the whole story.
Olympic-Style Taekwondo Training
Storm teaches World Taekwondo (WT) style — the Olympic discipline. Curriculum is aligned with Kukkiwon / WT standards, the global headquarters and governing body of Taekwondo.
Taekwondo became an official Olympic sport in 2000. Training that aligns with WT standards means real Taekwondo — not a hybrid martial-arts blend or a generic kickboxing program.
- WT / World Taekwondo style training
- Kukkiwon-aligned curriculum and forms (poomsae)
- Olympic martial art recognized worldwide
- Real Taekwondo techniques, drills, and progression

What If I Trained Before?
Storm welcomes adults returning to Taekwondo after a break — and adults transferring from another school. Your previous training counts.
Previous Belt Rankings
Storm honors previous Taekwondo belt rankings when appropriate. Talk to a Storm coach about your background — your school, your last belt, when you last trained — and we'll figure out the right place to plug you back in.
Coming Back After Time Off
It's very normal to feel rusty after years away. Storm coaches will ease you back in, scale the drills, and give you a clear path forward — whether that means refreshing fundamentals or jumping back into sparring at your previous level.
Adult Class Times
Two adult-friendly weeknight class slots so you can fit training around work and family.
Early Adult Class
